V- Con 2023

Project overview

This was my first V-Con production, a large-scale international convention combining corporate presentations, multimedia content, and live stage elements. The event required a robust video system, continuous content management, and precise coordination with the show-calling team.

Technical role

I joined the production as a Support Video Operator for the second shift. I assisted with the installation and configuration of four Disguise vx 4+ media servers equipped with HDMI outputs. The system consisted of one Director, two Actors, and one Understudy server, providing a reliable workflow with operational redundancy.

Technical approach

I was responsible for receiving, reviewing, and validating incoming media files before integrating them into the Disguise timeline. During the live show, I managed content playback and triggered each cue accurately according to the show caller’s instructions, maintaining close communication with the production team throughout the event.
