Project overview

This theatrical production was a live musical performed on ice, combining choreography, music, lighting, and synchronized video content. The production required precise timing and a reliable media server system to ensure that every visual element followed the rhythm and dramatic progression of the performance.

Technical role

I was responsible for the video workflow from pre-production through the live performances. My role included coordinating and receiving content, preparing the Disguise project, and installing and configuring three Disguise media servers operating as Director, Actor, and Understudy.

Technical approach

During each performance, I operated the Disguise system and triggered the video content in synchronization with the music and action on stage. A MIDI controller was used to perform live fade-ins and fade-outs rhythmically, creating smooth transitions that followed the musical timing. The three media servers were connected through a 10 GbE network, allowing centralized control and reliable remote operation throughout the production.
